Russell Bed and Breakfast

There are two types of accommodation both located at Te Hurihi Bay on our property for you to choose from:

Beach Hut RoomBed and Breakfast Rooms:

We offer bed and breakfast accommodation in our home. We have two double rooms downstairs with their own private entry and deck area.

You can choose from:
The front Beach Hut Room – recommended (as more direct sea views) or the rear Kingfisher Room.

  • Both rooms have queen size beds plus Kingfisher Room has an extra single bed
  • Seaviews over the bay from front deck area
  • TV in each room
  • Private locked entry to your rooms
  • Continental breakfast included (or self cater your own & save $15 for 2 persons a night)

Bed and Breakfast KitchenBonus: Unlike most standard B & B’s, Russell Bed and Breakfast guests have their own separate kitchen opening onto the deck area.

Full cooking facilities including oven, microwave, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and small dining area. A BBQ is on the deck for your use.

This enables you to self cater your meals at home or great Restaurants, Cafés and fast food shops are a 20 minute drive away in Russell.

The Bach Studio

B & B rooms deck viewsFor those wanting to self cater and have more privacy, the Bach Studio is separate from our main house and is a small, fully self contained cottage.

It is open plan, meaning the duo bunk bed, dining, kitchenette and the sleeping loft above are all in the same room.

Bach StudioThe shower/bathroom/washing machine/toilet are in their own room through a door off the main room. The toilet is separate again inside.

It is a small basic cottage that sleeps up to two double/one single but ideally suits a couple who want more privacy and extra room.

Bach From Main room looking through into BathroomPlease note: Access to the double bed in the small overhead sleeping loft is via a wooden ladder. For safety reasons no children under 12 years to sleep there.

The Bach has it’s own private entry, parking area and a small deck with lovely views of the bay.

Good basic accommodation for those wanting extra privacy and to experience traditional kiwi holiday accommodation (baching)!

Bring your boat or kayaks to fish or explore our sheltered bays.
